The International Tour of San Juan 2.1, in Argentina, began on January 23 and ends on February 3. Six World Tour teams are confirmed: Bora-Hansgrohe, Movistar, Emirates UAE, Lotto Soudal, Dimension Data and Deceuninck - Quick-Step.
Just like this season, the race has seven stages and a day of rest, when a big fund is planned. The competition started and ends in San Juan and will have, on the 3rd day, a 12km Indivision counter-clock in Pocito. The queen stage will be the 5th stage, in El Colorada, arriving at the top at 2,700 meters of altitude.
The Volta de San Juan was born in 1981 and reaches the 37th edition, the third in the UCI 2.1 category. In 2019 the race is broadcasting the Eurosport channel to around 100 countries.
